Today marks 2 years of marriage for Jake and I.
Even a year ago I wouldn't have thought we'd be where we are today, with Seamus, an old house under crazy renovations (which we're doing ourselves), and living back at home with my parents, albeit a completely different home...
This next year should bring some pretty awesome changes to our lives. I can't wait to move into our house and continue the renovation journey there.
To celebrate our anniversary, we're removing more plaster! YAY! (note the heavy sarcasm) We are SO close to being finished that part of the demolition that we really can't put it off. I've also started stripping the paint from a storm window so I'll work some more on that tonight as well. Our real celebration of two years will come this Saturday when we hit up the Aberfoyle Antique Market's Fall Show. I'm really, really excited to go this year since we actually have a space to buy things for! I hope to walk away with a new front door knocker, and I want to check out some door hardware as well as any stained glass I can find. I have big plans for that stained glass after getting hooked on another blog and loving what they've done with reclaimed stained glass. If you're interested in seeing what I mean, click here. They have done this little trick a few times and it makes their rooms look AMAZING. (Also, just check out the whole blog. A lot of their custom projects are incredible and gets my creative juices flowing!)
When we first got engaged, Jake used to joke about how getting married is for life. But a life sentence in Canada is just 25 years. So.... 2 years down, 23 to go!
